Walter Coddington is a retired business and marketing executive. His Madison Avenue marketing consulting agency served Lever Brothers, KLM Airlines, AAA, Prentice Hall, Church & Dwight (the Arm & Hammer baking soda company), Citicorp, the United Nations Environment Program, PEW Charitable Trust, the US Agriculture Department, the National Audubon Society and numerous other for-profit and not-for-profit companies. During his tenure as CEO of Coddington Environmental he also served as the Executive Director of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) women’s advocacy NGO Face to Face International for almost a decade. During this time he worked in 23 developed and underdeveloped countries counseling women’s healthcare and human rights advocacy organizations in the areas of organizational capacity development and marketing communications.
Today Walter serves as CRE at the Roman Catholic Church of Transfiguration and St. James/St. Joseph in New York City. There he is pioneering the use of virtual reality to involve confirmation students in local and global social justice issues and advocacy.
